tenets of faith

We would say to all who come to us seeking to know God and the power of His Love, to become an active part of the Body of Christ, Welcome Home!

1

We believe in the Triune, Living God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; one in essence and attributes, yet distinct in office and personality.

2

We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God; therefore, we must be born again.

3

We believe that all Scripture was written by inspiration of God; that it is without error, and is the final authority in all matters pertaining to life and faith.

4

We believe that Jesus Christ was true God, true man; God Himself coming to earth in the person of His Only Son.  We believe He was born of a virgin, was crucified, died and  was buried for our sins.  He descended into hell and rose again on the third day for our salvation.  The power of sin, death and the grave was broken and our sin debt paid  in full.  Jesus took our death and gives eternal life to all who believe.

5

We believe in the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which is the blessed hope of all who believe.

6

We affirm our belief that all who confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead will be saved.  It is by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and not by our deeds, that one day we will enter Heaven to rule and reign with Him for eternity.

7

We believe that it is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment.  Those who have Jesus have eternal life with God; those who do not will be separated from Him and will enter into eternal life in hell.

8

We believe being baptized, as Jesus commanded, is an out-ward expression of our heart belief in Him as Savior.  We further believe we celebrate His life, death  and resurrection  each time we share communion at the Lord's Table.

9

We believe the primary focus of Christianity is to develop an intimate relationship with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit through knowledge of the Word, prayer and walking in the steps of Jesus.

10

We humbly and gratefully receive the Offices and Gifts God has made available for perfecting the saints; building up the Body of Christ; bringing us into a closer walk with Him and taking the Word and healing power of God's love out to those in need, just as Jesus did.  We affirm this place of worship will provide a loving acceptance of those who have experienced the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and those who have not.  We offer freedom of both to meet, worship, and express their love for God without fear.
